Triennial Emergency Exercise 2000 at Washington Dulles Int’l Airport, Parts 1-3

ANTN returned to Dulles International Airport to videotape their latest effort to prepare their personnel for a potential disaster. The exercise simulates a midair collision between a Boeing 757 commercial jet with 100 passengers and a small general aviation aircraft conducting a missed approach to Runway 12.

The Will and the Way 2000

This is the FAA’s updated version of “The Will and the Way: Explosives Detection Systems at Airports” (first aired on ANTN in February 1998). On Oct. 30, 1996, the Security Equipment Integrated Product Team (SEIPT) was established to plan, purchase and deploy the advanced technology recommended by the Gore Commission and authorized by Congress. The SEIPT produced this video program as an introduction for the deployment initiative of explosives detection systems and devices currently underway at U.S. airports.
