AAAE Program To Help Lower Student Registration Fees For Annuals

AAAE’s board of directors has approved a program that will help interested college students get into AAAE’s annual conferences for reduced rates. The program will collect voluntary contributions from AAAE members and others looking to further the interest and exposure of students interested in an aviation career. The contributions will be pooled and applied as “early-bird” registration discounts for annual conference attendance. The discounts—the size of which will be determined by the amount of money contributed—will be available only to members in good standing of AAAE student chapters.

Centennial Airport in Englewood, Colorado made the inaugural donation of $1,000 to kick off the campaign and has spearheaded the effort to get the program started. Others interested in donating can send a check payable to the AAAE Foundation to: AAAE Member Services, ATTN: Jessica Morris, 601 Madison Street, Suite 400, Alexandria, VA 22314. Donations can be for any amount and must be mailed separately from any other AAAE-related correspondence, registrations, etc. They are tax-deductible, with your cancelled check serving as your receipt.
